❌ Buyer Beware!

The first time I looked for 'motorhomes for sale' online, I felt overwhelmed by the volume of choices.

Then I visited a dealer and faced rows of shiny vans, enthusiastic salespeople, endless options… and no clue what I should actually be looking for!

I thought buying a motorhome would be straightforward.

Instead, we rushed in, chose the wrong van, and ended up changing it within a few months — losing money in the process.

In fact, we went through three motorhomes in three years 🫣

Buying a motorhome is one of the biggest investments you’ll make, but it’s also one of the easiest places to go wrong and waste money. And, because everyone has different priorities, there’s no such thing as the “best” van.

  • Do you go for fixed bed or lounge layout?
  • How important is payload or train weight?
  • What about damp, electrics, or service history?
  • Should you buy at a show, a dealer or privately?

So, just in time for the NEC show, I'm hosting a new live workshop:

❌ Buyer Beware! What to Check Before You Buy a Motorhome/ Campervan

This live workshop is perfect whether you're currently shopping for your first motorhome, or looking to upgrade.

We’ll cover:

  • Layouts, payloads & what to prioritise for your travel style
  • The essential checks before you hand over any money or sign on a dotted line!
  • What to do on collection day so you don’t drive away with hidden problems
  • Plus live Q&A to answer your questions

The call will be held on Monday 12th October at 7pm (the day before the NEC show starts) and for just £7 you’ll walk away knowing exactly what to look for (and what to avoid).

👉 Places are limited, so reserve yours here (even if you can't join live)

Hope to see you there,

The biggest issue with travelling solo is there is NO ONE to blame but yourself when you do something stupid. It's very inconvenient! Sadly, no matter how experienced a motorhomer you might be, you still occassionally do something downright silly. Generally when an entire campsite of people are staring at you in disbelief. 🫣 A while ago, I arrived at a campsite and (for reasons which aren't clear to anyone, including me) I decided to drive my motorhome onto a grass field... just after a heavy...

If you're new to visiting motorhome/caravan shows, the October NEC show can feel incredibly overwhelming. It's HUGE! If you've only ever been to the February one, the October show is even larger. If you are visiting the NEC show this week, here are some quick tips: Get there as early as you can. It starts to get really busy around 11.30am until about 4pm. Wear comfortable shoes & do not underestimate how far you're going to walk. Some women do the show in heels... I am not one of them! Bring...

Well, it's been a bit of a month on the motorhome front! If you've been following my adventures recently, you'll know that my motorhome decided to throw a rather spectacular spanner in the works a few weeks ago. And, of course, it chose just about the WORST possible moment to do it. 🙄 I was on my way to meet a group of Wandering Motorhome Club members, to start our trip into Europe. I'd used it a few days before and it passed it's MOT the week earlier. And then, on the day the trip started,...
