😫 My Motorhome Broke Down… Should I Buy a New One?!

Well, it's been a bit of a month on the motorhome front!

If you've been following my adventures recently, you'll know that my motorhome decided to throw a rather spectacular spanner in the works a few weeks ago.

And, of course, it chose just about the WORST possible moment to do it. 🙄

I was on my way to meet a group of Wandering Motorhome Club members, to start our trip into Europe. I'd used it a few days before and it passed it's MOT the week earlier.

And then, on the day the trip started, no indicators. At all.

Honestly, you couldn't make it up.

I've had a few weeks to think about everything that's happened, and it's got me asking a rather big question...

Is it time to get a new motorhome?

I've just filmed a new video chatting about what's been going on, the pros and cons of each option, and what I'm thinking of doing next.

I'd also really love your opinion, especially if you have a motorhome under 7m with a garage and 4 seatbelts that you love 🧡

Stay tuned for updates!

The biggest issue with travelling solo is there is NO ONE to blame but yourself when you do something stupid. It's very inconvenient! Sadly, no matter how experienced a motorhomer you might be, you still occassionally do something downright silly. Generally when an entire campsite of people are staring at you in disbelief. 🫣 A while ago, I arrived at a campsite and (for reasons which aren't clear to anyone, including me) I decided to drive my motorhome onto a grass field... just after a heavy...

If you're new to visiting motorhome/caravan shows, the October NEC show can feel incredibly overwhelming. It's HUGE! If you've only ever been to the February one, the October show is even larger. If you are visiting the NEC show this week, here are some quick tips: Get there as early as you can. It starts to get really busy around 11.30am until about 4pm. Wear comfortable shoes & do not underestimate how far you're going to walk. Some women do the show in heels... I am not one of them! Bring...

An asphalt road stretching into a misty landscape under a pale morning sky

It’s that time of year again — misty mornings, crunchy leaves and that unmistakable smell of “someone nearby’s lit their fire 🔥” Autumn is my favourite season for motorhome trips. Quieter roads, stunning scenery (especially when the leaves have all changed)… and the perfect excuse to get warm & cosy when it's raining outside. I don't tend to change much of my gear in my motorhome between Spring/ Summer and Autumn, but there are definitely a few things which get much more use at this time of...
