If you’re heading away in your motorhome this autumn or winter, you’ll probably find yourself using more electricity than you did in summer. The heating’s on, the lights are on earlier, you’re spending longer inside… and if you’re anything like me, making considerably more cups of tea! None of that is a problem, but you do need to think about where that power is coming from and how much you’re using at once. With the colder weather here, it’s surprisingly easy to overload your hook-up. Your heating’s running in the background, you put the kettle on while dinner’s in the air fryer… and suddenly everything trips. So I’ve made a video explaining the basics of motorhome electrics and how to work out what you can actually run together. If you’ve ever wondered what EL1 and EL2 mean, and how to know what you can/can't power, this video should help.
I hope it helps make your motorhoming a bit easier this winter!

Whilst I'm not going anywhere myself for a month or two (#surgeryrecovery), I know plenty of people are. If you're one of them, I wanted to share these tips with you. Here...
There are some things nobody puts in the glossy motorhome brochures. Emptying the toilet. The specific misery of trying to put a fitted sheet on a bed wedged against three walls. And waking up to discover your windscreen has developed its own indoor weather system. 🙄 Condensation is a common motorhome problem, especially at this time of year as the nights get colder. But you don’t have to accept dripping windows and damp bedding as part of the 'adventure'. Here’s what helps. (As an aside, for...
“Where’s your favourite place in Europe?” I get asked this ALL the time. Usually followed by: “Where should we go on our next motorhome trip?” And honestly? Picking ONE favourite is impossible. 😆 When I was invited back again to speak at the NEC Motorhome and Caravan Show this year, I decided to build my entire talk around that question: Where should you go in Europe… with the time you actually have? Because a week away calls for a different adventure to three weeks of exploring. And...
